RTD
Motorsports, located in North Highlands, Calif., was
founded in 2007 by team owner Rob Dixon. Dixon brings over
20 years of experience to his new team. Dixon, an
experienced fabricator, has worked with many of the top
teams on the west coast including stints with Bill
McAnally Racing and Rick Carelli Racing.
Dixon has
earned a reputation as one of the top wrenches in both
fabrication and set-up. With a high-quality staff, Rob and
his team hope to have a lasting impact on West Coast
racing.
In 2009, Drive for Diversity
again will work with RTD Motorsports.
For the 2008 racing season,
RTD Motorsports debuted in the NASCAR Camping World Series
West with
Drive for
Diversity participant Michael Gallegos. The team became
the most successful West Series D4D operation in the
program's history.
In 2007, Dixon served as crew chief and managed operations
for Justin Lofton in the NASCAR Camping World Series West.
In 2006, he
served as crew chief for Thompson Motorsports driver Brett
Thompson.
