RTD Motorsports, located in North Highlands, Calif., was founded in 2007 by team owner Rob Dixon. Dixon brings over 20 years of experience to his new team. Dixon, an experienced fabricator, has worked with many of the top teams on the west coast including stints with Bill McAnally Racing and Rick Carelli Racing.


In 2007, Dixon served as crew chief and managed operations for Justin Lofton in the NASCAR Camping World Series West.


In 2006, he served as crew chief for Thompson Motorsports driver Brett Thompson.


In 2008, RTD Motorsports will field a car in the NASCAR Camping World Series West for Drive for Diversity participant Michael Gallegos.


Dixon has earned a reputation as one of the top wrenches in both fabrication and set-up. Dixon will retain these roles while also assuming the new role of team ownership.
